Three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray spoke about his fitness at the final stage of the season.
The last few months have been frustrating for me. I`ve had cramps in the last seven or eight tournaments and I`ve never had them on a regular basis. Therefore, I am extremely disappointed.
I can accept losing a match because tennis is a tough sport and sometimes you don`t perform as well as you would like, but there`s no excuse for being physically unprepared.
I think that the last four or five months I have not worked enough to perform at the proper level. Changes are needed if I want to return to the top.
I have a positive attitude about the next season and the upcoming work. I have already started training, and for the next six to eight weeks I have to give all my best in the gym and on the training court.
At the beginning of the season I was 130th-140th in the world, and now I`m in the top 50. For most players, this is a positive result. It doesn`t work for me, but I`ve made progress.
There is no guarantee that I would have won these matches by online football stream without the cramp, but I believe that I could potentially go further.
I played quite a few tournaments from Wimbledon until the end of the season. In terms of endurance, I did not do very well, but unlike the last few years, there were no injuries or other sores.
