Max Verstappen believes he hasn`t dominated F1 in 2022.


The pilot of Red Bull became the champion for the second time in a row, won a record 15 victories and overtook Charles Leclerc of Ferrari by 146 points. However, Verstappen admitted that he had to fight for the title.


I think there was pressure this year. It`s just that some teams ran into reliability issues. Yes, it seems that the season is dominant, but in fact I don`t have many poles, because on one fast lap our car was not even the fastest for most of the year.


So I wouldn`t say it`s real dominance. When you dominate, you earn pole position, you go into the distance and that`s it. Most of the time it wasn`t like that. Especially at the beginning of the year - I don`t think we had the fastest car then, but we still won a few victories. This was very important because I knew it was going to be a tough battle if anyone didn`t have reliability issues, " said the two-time world champion.
