The fourth racket of the world Caroline Garcia summed up the season.





- I think the tournament predicted by football predictions in Cincinnati proved to me that I can beat the best players in the world and do it regularly. Seems like the weekly tournaments suit me better than the Slams so far, so some adjustments are needed. But it`s a great experience and a week in Cincinnati really helped me gain confidence in my fitness, tennis level, playing style.


To go all the way to the final WTA tournament, you need to win four or five matches against the top eight tennis players in the world. This is a good experience now and for the future.





- It is difficult to choose, because at decisive moments everything is of great importance. The victory in Bad Homburg means a lot. Believe me, a lot. I had problems during the tournament, I had to win back match points for Alize [Cornet], and the match against Andreescu developed according to an insane scenario. I have not reached the final for so many years, I have not won the title. It was a big achievement for me, for the team. This is proof of the effectiveness of our work.


In Warsaw, I beat No. 1 for the first time. It meant a lot because it was the first time I did it after so many years on the road.





- My playing style is what it is, and now I am a more mature tennis player than before, and I can accept all its pluses and minuses. I take risks, I try to focus on what I can do and control, and that`s how I play my best.


In the past I have tried to be more adaptable, to be more patient, to step back a little, and we see that this did not bring much results. Now I clearly understand my game and want to continue in the same spirit.
