Live score Journalist Turrini: Ferrari was left without a leader, and Binotto will soon work for competitors - he is already negotiating with Audi

The famous Italian journalist Leo Turrini spoke about the reshuffle at Ferrari and the resignation of Mattia Binotto from the post of manager.
According to Turrini, Binotto`s departure is primarily due to a lack of support from Ferrari president John Elkann. And that Ferrari made a mistake, because in the end Binotto will end up in the camp of their competitors.
Binotto`s appointment as head of the racing department was the legacy of Sergio Marchionne. Sergio was not ready to bet on Arrivabene and decided in favor of Mattia. But John Elkann never got along with Binotto. They were like water and oil. And everyone knew it.
Yes, Binotto had his mistakes, including some tendency towards delusions of omnipotence. For example, Binotto should have appeared less often in public and handled the press better. But at the same time, he never received real support from his president on truly important issues. Have we heard a word from Elkann about Red Bull`s budget overruns or Mercedes` attempts to push through regulation changes? No.
Now Ferrari is left without a leader; a new leader will appear only in January. And Binotto will soon work for Ferrari`s competitors - I know that he is already in negotiations with Audi, which will come to the championship according betting odds in 2026.
And we still don`t know who will take Binotto`s place in Maranello. There is a lot of talk about Frederick Wasser. Like Jean Todt, he is French - but that`s the only thing they have in common, " Turrini said.
