Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus intend to restart the European Super League.


Today, European Super League CEO Bernd Reichart announced that the founding clubs want to launch a new version of the project.


A22 said the new project was the result of detailed discussions with more than 50 European clubs about the financial problems they were facing.


Over the past months, the A22 and the European Super League have attacked the Premier League for its apparent financial superiority and the effect it has on other European leagues.


The new version of the European Super League will have several divisions, with between 60 and 80 participants without permanent members. Each team will play at least 14 matches during the season. There are no details yet about the distribution of clubs by division. It is also unknown what the system of elimination from the tournament will be.


Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus are keeping the format of the new European Super League secret for now.


Let us remember that in April 2021, an attempt to create a Super League turned out to be a failure. The founding clubs were Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Inter and Milan.


Two days after the announcement of the tournament`s creation, English clubs via online football stream withdrew from participating due to fan dissatisfaction.
