Paris Saint-Germain`s team continued their penalty shoot-out in League 1 after winning the 13th consecutive season, defeating Monaco 4-0 in its own Louis II stadium. The guests from Paris left no doubt in their superiority, this 4:0 being the least that could have left the Principality. Hattrick for PSG scored Edison Cavani, and superstar Neymar scored a penalty. Four times the VAR system was used to help the referees. In two cases it helped to recognize the goals of the PSG and in the others to cancel goals for Sofia citizens.



The duel started whirling for Parisians who found it in the 4th minute. Neymar found Cavani in the field, and the Uruguayan made no mistake. About a minute passed before the hit was recognized, as there was some hesitation on whether Cavani was ambushing, but there was no evidence of VAR. In the 12th minute, Parisians reached the second goal of Cavani, but it had to go through the VAR before it was recognized. The hosts also had their moments, but Falcao missed twice.

In the 27th minute, the hosts missed a great opportunity to reduce the lead after a clear position by Jordi Mubila fails to send the ball into the goal. At the very end of the half-time, Mubila again had the opportunity to score after falling into the field and shooting, but Areolla was in place and saved.
